About Me

Call me if you need a bass player for a gig!!
Welcome to all who stop by. As you can see I am a bass player and I take it pretty serious. I love playing all types of music (except Country but I'm working on it). I have some great gear and I've been fortunate to play with some really cool people. I've played in original bands like Oasis (not the English one) and Goon Squad and with accomplished guitarists like Ronny North and Brad Wilson. I've also had a great time playing in the tribute bands Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train, Painkiller, Metal Gods, TNT, Precious Time and the Rum Soaked Raisins.
As far as playing goes, I've been doing this for the better part of 20 odd years. I love music and I love playing it. My best experiences playing on stage where when I could see the audience reacting and getting involved with it. I don't really care about drinking or drugs or any other vices that musicans induldge in. My biggest thing is that the people and the project is geared towards being the absolute best it can be. I've played for cover bands that just wanted to go out and party and enjoy themselves and it was a great time and a great experience. I tend to find it limiting for me. It was perfectly fine reason to go out to play and I not one to judge it. If I'm going to get up on stage and play for people, I want them to have a great product to see and listen to.
Currently I am looking for a new band, so if anyone needs a bass player!!!!
Cheers

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: I have no band members of my own since I play for almost anyone who will have me :) My Comrades in action are on my Pics page. I currently own 11 basses and that seems to be enough for me. I've had more, but then I end up selling them off. I use a Line6 Bass PodXT Live pedal board into a QSC 3600 Watt (yes that is right) power amp. The power amp feeds 2 Accugroove El Whapo Bass Cabinets. I rarely use all of that wattage. Most of the time I'm lucky to get the volume on my pedal board past 3 or 4. It's not that I want it make everyone deaf. I firmly believe that you get a better bass sound if you have more wattage and speakers than you really need.
Influences: Some of the stuff I listen to include:

Albert King, B.B. King Walter Trout, Soul SirkUS, Tower Of Power, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Brian Bromberg, G3, Jeff Beck, The Jelly Jam, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clark, Steve Vai, Niacin, Buddy Rich, Dianne Reeves, Fourplay, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Weather Report, John Mayer, Prince, David Coverdale, Jethro Tull, Gov't Mule, Bobby McFerrin
