About Me
Washington Irving was started two years ago at the end of afuturehistory - a punk rock band from Argyll. Members of the band wanted to try something new.
Our taste in music seems to change daily and, as a band, we try to incorporate this into our songs whilst remaining true to (some of) our traditional roots.
Some Members:
Joe Black: Our loveable socialist. Studies in Glasgow, from the noble city of Dalmally.
Chris Mcgarry: A boy who knows how to make the sounds that come from us, go into the computer, out the speakers and into the brain.
James Phillips: Lives in a different city doing sculpture. Occasionally he makes noises which sound like drums.
Martin Anfield: From Oban, juggles, dances, writes, plays, loves, dies, reincarnates.
Rory MacDonald: From Aberdeen, plays the mandolin, sings and strums away at guitars.
Washington Irving is too humungus to be described as only having five members - last time we counted we have eleven - and as soon as we can organise it (we will be hiring a secretary), we will make our way towards a stage near you.
