About Me

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. I've been on the hiphop grind since 1999 in the dirty south. Of course as difficult as it is being a lyrical beast and getting recognition in the south, I choose not to surrender. The game will hear of The Syndrome if I have to make Yahweh work twice as hard. I started rapping because of Snoop. We don't have nothing lyrically in common but he is the tall, lanky guy who did it first in that way. I heard him in 92, immitated his whole thing for a few years as a young twelve year old kid in Kenya. The west held the title back then. Everything was about deathrow, then 2pac came and had me into the message poetry rap. Lauryn hill did her thing too and had me word playing after the Fugees. Eminem came along and that was pretty much my turning point on the wicked rhyme schemes and punchlines. Rakim was a little late into my collection of inspiring emcees, but he is the greatest to me due to my subconscious mind waking up to the reality of deception. My mind was never the same again after I heard Canibus and Rakim on 2000 Bc and since then it's been about lyrical fire. Africa stand up!!!!! Kal Tourette's the name!!!!
