I’m a very competitive person, I make everything into a contest and I will take you on anytime, anyplace. I believe that “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you strongerâ€. I’m a hardcore basketball player and fanatic and I work hard to make it do what it do baby.! I believe that there are things in life you can control and those you can’t, but you must put your best foot forward no matter what. I believe basketball is a game of life and can teach me more life lessons in one game than I could learn in my entire lifetime. The losses, victories, the triumph and heartache, the anxiety, success, frustrations and pure relief are involved in 48 minutes of a basketball game. There’s no telling whether they’ll toss you out in the first 5 minutes or whether you’ll stay for the long haul. There’s no telling how you’ll do, you might be a hero or you might be absolutely nothing. There’s just no telling. Too much depends on chance, on how the ball bounces. Life is a game, a serious one, but that’s what you do with serious things. You do your best, take what comes and run with it. Winning is fun sure, but winning is not the point. WANTING to win is the point, NOT GIVING UP is the point, NEVER BEING SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU’VE DONE is the point, NEVER LETTING UP is the point, NEVER LETTING ANYONE DOWN is the point. Play to win but lose like a champion, because it’s not winning that counts, what counts is trying. Ask me to play, I’ll play, ask me to shoot, I’ll shoot, ask me to pass, I’ll pass, ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate, anything. But it’s not what you ask of me, its what I ask of myself. I don’t hold back, I don’t try to be something I’m not, I don’t slow it down, I don’t take the easy way out. I don’t front, I don’t stop, I don’t need approval. That’s IMPOSSIBLE you say? Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small individuals who find it easier to live in a world they’ve been given rather than to explore the power they have to change it. IMPOSSIBLE is not a fact……… it’s an opinion. IMPOSSIBLE is not a declaration……it’s a dare. IMPOSSIBLE is potential, IMPOSSIBLE is temporary.
