About Me

Super-String-Theory has been cultivating “free-range-rock-fusion”; music that flows freely, blends multiple influences and styles, and breaks through the fences that surround and separate music with easily definable terms. Driven by musical experimentation and the unending pursuit of musical knowledge and virtuosity, Super-String-Theory has developed a technical yet progressive instrumental sound. That very sound maintains accessibility through strong, memorable melodies and crafty arrangements that always tell a story. The members of Super-String-Theory are talented music instructors, performers and clinicians and are well versed in various musical styles including metal, jazz, world music and modern classical. Super-String-Theory has been dazzling audiences since 2002, having the honor of sharing the stage with the likes of Kings X, Eric Sardinas, Jeff Scheetz, and Bobby Rock.Super-String-Theory has released two independently produced, full length CD’s: their 2003 debut CD “Swimming in the Dutch Mordant” and their 2006 follow up CD “Principles of Transformation”. Both CD’s have enjoyed very positive reviews from critics worldwide and, most notably, “Principles of Transformation” reached number one on Guitar Nine’s progressive charts the week of its release. Songs from both CDs are in current rotation on several progressive and guitar-centric radio stations on five continents.Convinced of the importance of this music in these times, Super-String-Theory is actively writing new material and driven to perform their re-defined brand of guitar abusing, truly progressive, “free-range-rock-fusion” for music lovers all over the world.Super-String-Theory is:Aaron Roten – Guitars, John Anderson – Drums, Rick Stansfield – Bass
