About Me

In the city more popularly known for the success of its sports teams than for hip hop artists, Boston, MA has yet to be permanently put on the map for hip hop. With the release of Etelligent, a Boston born and bred MC and his full length album, "Mind of a Child", the city finally saw an all-star representative whose abilities parallel his love for the place known as "The Bean".
With the release of his LP, "Mind of a Child", E-tell looked to be known as a talented musician rather than stereotyped and packaged as your run-of-the-mill gangster. "You don't have to be gangster to do this. I'm just a real street dude, nothing gangster about me." E-tell is more interested in making all-around good music than dealing with stereotypes and image consultants. He says it best himself in the words he lives by. "Be yourself, be who you are. Don't be scared to make your type of music. People are gonna feel originality forever." Paying homage to the hip hop music of the early 90's, E-tell stays true to the music that he grew up on. "My style is 'Illmatic', 'Dare is a Darkside', and I don't give a damn who gets offended."
This 23-year-old veteran who has been rhyming more than half of his life, dispels all assumptions that he can't lyrically bang with the big dogs. He rocked a crowd of 2000 right before the likes of Krumbsnatcha (D&D), Jin (Ruff Ryders), and Black Rob (Bad Boy). He also was the opening act at the once renowned Club Skyline for the streets biggest artist, 50 Cent (G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath) and at the Worcester Palladium for N.O.R.E. (Def Jam), and Cam'ron (Diplomats). He exemplifies the true MC in the rawest form, with the uncanny ability to rock a crowd, battle and defeat some of the best MC's, and compose a song. On "Mind of a Child", E-tell spits with the maturity of a wise grandfather and the energy of a kindergarten kid at recess. This versatility to relay messages that are relative to a gamut of listeners proves that E-tell will be a hot commodity. This MC ensures that he is here to put Boston on the map in his ready-made anthem, "Curse of the Bambino." Other songs like "Conversation With a War Vet" and "Ol' Girl" showcase E-tell's lyrical creativity and critical analysis in a way that is achieved by few, especially at his age. Complimented with production by Antagonist (Aisharp) and Session (Ghetto Radio), both of Boston, "Mind of a Child" is guaranteed to be kept on heavy rotation.
