so i guess it is probably about time i update my whereabouts? ha! i was lazy i aus on thespace an i will be lazy over here - plus the interenet tends to fail me between the fact im living outside of Thamel (the tourist district of kathmandu valley) and also the constant power cuts. My district doesnt have power on mondays and tuesdays then across the river doesnt have tuesdays and wednesdays - - however this has given me refuge from the indian cable television - i promise when i say that i wouldnt be surprised if some of the game shows were used by NATO for extreme torture methods - - yes a have been reading too many books over here including my beloved war novels (so the reference to NATO - I beg my pardon)!In the first week i underwent intensive language classes (if anyone remembers my schooling habits this means not paying attention and taking as many ciggerette breaks as possible - however here i dont have to go to the church i can simply light up in class - quite enjoyable ha!) during this period i also went on sightseeing tours with a couple from england (matt and karen early 20's just finished two years teaching n japan) anyway our tour guide was Shristi he is lovely! So the first two days i travelled in the taxi to our destinations however then matt and karren left for there placement so i was left to ride on the back of a motorcycle in kathmandu traffic (dreamworld has nothing on the traffic here) there is no sides to the road and well no rules - they just toot there horn and go right on through! so sorry - sightseeing saw an array of brilliant temples each as beautiful as the next. I cant ven describe to you the geographical beauty of this place but it is honestly mind blowing and well i havent even reached Pohkara yet - suppose to be to die for then there is Chitwan!My cultural experiences have consisted of everything to dressing up in traditonal wedding sari to be emotional scarred by a "traditional nepali massage" the massage really actually consisted of no real technique other than an utter invasion on privacy! for such a modest country i didnt think "butt and crack" would be included in the massage - but apparently i was wrong. But after beig asked if i would care for a breast massage i had completely lost it managing a "no thankyou" through a ramble of uncontrollable laughter! but hey they do things differently here!The children are fantastic! I have been living with a couple, Subohd and Prativa, for about 12 days now and they are just amazing. Catering to my every need and always assuring me they are not like other Nepali people. This i cant tell be Subohd's love for a beer he is one of the funniest men i have ever met in my life and Prativa is just and nice as she is stunningly gorgeous! but the orphanage - Laxman is incharge and he is a very friendly man and the children each have a distinct personality that i love an adore. i would describe each of the too you but no time = there is mary, ram, nawaraj, narbu, nabina, priyanka, amrita, praba, jenissa and jessika. I have fallen head over heels in love with them and have currently started a project repainting their orphanage - it is a real shithole so im trying my best to bring some colour into it! and ill be sure to get the photos up i just have to be in the right frame of mind to deal with these tempremental computers!okay love you all!!! missing home but look loving here too too much!!!love you , courtney.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
