About Me
My best quality is the friends I keep. Friendships are important to me, and I have the most wonderful friends in the world. I do my best to treat people the way I would like to be treated. I must admit in all honesty it doesn't always happen, but it is a wonderful goal in the same.
I am a singer/songwriter. I play piano, guitar and sing. I used to be a classical pianist long ago, but I don't have a piano anymore. Love real music, I listen to old country singer/songwriter folky stuff, and classic rock: Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Beattles, Bruce Springsteen, John Cougar Mellancamp, Shelby Lynne, Keb MO, Gregory Page, Gillian Welch and Patti Griffin. I like music that is real, I like people that are real, all the pluses and minuses attached.
My interests: everything interests me, well not really, but practically. I love reading books about far off places. All summer I have read everything I can get my hands on about Afghanistan. I love reading about political events in the third world, and sustainable development. Political affairs are fascinating to me.
My favorite thing to do is go out to the Old Sod, listen to some good music and hang out with my friends.
