The Sixth Degree

We are all connected.

About Me

The Sixth Degree is a dynamic new rock band infusing fresh energy into an age-old genre. Their sound can be described as a mixture of rock, indie, post-punk and alternative sensibilities. Featuring two sets of brothers, the band’s innovative sound leaves audiences wanting more.
The band began in February 2006 as an acoustic duo and fully came into fruition as a rock four piece in September of that year. In their brief time together they have generated a continuously growing fan base, performed at The Ohio State Fair, recieved favorable press coverager from Rhythm Art and Groove Magazine, Radioindy.com, The Coshocton Tribune and the Zanesville Times Recorder, participated in the 2nd and 3rd annual Coshocton Memorial Fest which benefited Coshocton Hospice and have recorded with legendary King's X guitarist Ty Tabor and Joe Kleon formerly of 106.9 Rock 107.
The Sixth Degree are currently playing shows in support of their debut CD, SINNERS AND SAVIORS. The CD was professionally recorded at Moo Pig Face Studios in Columbus by Dan Boyd and was mastered by King's X guitar player Ty Tabor. Rhythm Art and Groove called the CD "destined to be a hit" and Radioindy.com described it as "mosh pit perfect". The CD is available at all T6D shows and online at http://cdbaby.com/cd/sixthdegree
Joe Ross has been in several bands including Liquid Earth, The Sobriety Project and Bleeding James. Joe is an accomplished songwriter and is also working on several short stories and screen play ideas. Joe has performed in and around Coshocton, Kent, Akron, Canton and Cleveland.
Tim Ross was the guitarist, primary songwriter and one of the founding members of the band Liquid Earth. He is also a former member of the groups Infinity Plus 2, The Burning Down and Bleeding James. Tim has written music for the independent film The Hamlet Thing and has played such venues as The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Clevelands Hard Rock Cafe.
Jason Adams is a multi talented singer, songwriter and musician. He has been writing and performing with Joe in The Sobriety Project as well as having collaborated with Jeffery and Tim on a variety of musical projects. Jason also performs regularly with his brothers Jeff and Jamie and was the singer and guitarist of the band Circle Slide.
Jamie Adams is a musician, artist and writer. Coming from a musical family and growing up in church, he has been involved in music since an early age. Jamie has recorded and performed with Bill Tsamis of Warlord, Lordian Winds, and Lordian Guard, as well as several other bands, including various ongoing projects with his brothers, Jeff and Jason.
The name The Sixth Degree comes from the theory that everyone in the world is connected to everyone else through a series of 6 other people. In our increasingly crowded society it is important to remember that we're all connected somehow.
