Gija (founded in April 2005) is a 2 men project comprising of
Gi (sounds, loop arrangement, music & artwork)
and Ja (frensh speaking poet, "noise" creator, concept developer)
forming an interesting mix of voices, sounds and melodies
with it's special, own atmosphere.
The basic idea behind the Gija project is to bring out a 4 or 5 songs EP (extended play-like in the sixtees, when one could buy a whole album piece by piece before it even came out) every third month. All of them being demos, as worked on the computer, except for the first one: "premier jet", which raised the attention of Rene Savelsberg at Tristone, Maastricht, NL (voices recording + mix, january 2006).

something like Gija goes to the Jazz Club, with a little extra Pop taste.
"le cerveau en lambeaux":
this second and much harder demo EP uses Rock and even Hardrock samples or instruments, noises creations and anything helping reinforcing the atmosphere of the lyrics. Two of the songs talk about the brain stroke Ja experienced three years ago: "beaucoup de chance" and "j'y arrive pas". You heard them on myspace before.
"chaleurs lentes":
the red demo EP is starting more like a film music. Imagine you are sitting on a wooden terrasse in southern Louisiana and thinking about an old love once drowned in the Bayou.

"Rock'n'Râle" the green demo EP is still in process, featuring 4 Pop/Rock songs. Two of them being featured here. No panic, the intro of "on s'dit pas tout" is just a joke.
"hier": being romantics in 2006, we can't avoid a certain realism. To be able to talk about a better world, we have to dream it.
"on s'dit pas tout" is a song about friendship and things that are left unsaid, torn or twisted.
This song is dedicated to Gaetan Roussel.
