J McCoy BIO
J McCoy seemed destined to be a performer, mimicking rap recording while riding with his father back and forth to Los Angeles from Hanford, California. Born Joshua Michael Nahum McCoy, J McCoy started his career early with a lead role in PAX TV Network commercials at only four years old.
J McCoy then landed a lead role in the Tupac Shakur feat. Nas "Thugz Mansion" music video which he credits as inspiring him to follow his dreams as a rapper. "I love rapping! I want kids and grown ups all over the world to like my songs. "I love performing, it's all a lot of work but I have so much fun doing it." Always sharpening his skills, J McCoy attends acting school and works with his acting coach Kevin McDermott weekly. J McCoy has his first feature film being released in theaters in spring 2008 co-starring Vivica A. Fox, Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones & Cedric the Entertainer.
He’s currently putting the finishing touches on his debut album with the assistance of several multi-platinum producers, whom are committed to his project, providing tracks tailor made for him. J McCoy writes all the lyrics of his songs with his Dad and Uncle Kenex.
J McCoy had his first single released in stores in January 2007 for the Walt Disney Records Movie soundtrack "Jump In" Which is now J McCoy's first Certified Gold Album.
