Thank you for visiting my online Myspace portfolio. My name is Matthew "Mateo" Paul Cantu and I am currently an artist residing in the Austin, TX area. I work in all mediums in the two dimensional world. I am particularly fond of free hand illustration a digital manipulation. Although I am well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, I still consider myself to be a graphic artist and not just another publications guru. My background in free hand illustration and fine art gives me the ability to add a creative feel to any platform of design. I pride myself in being very creative and have quite an imagination making me a conceptualist with an original touch. In short, I love putting ideas (weather my own or another's) on paper. Let me do the same for you. I have been the front runner on quite a few projects and ventures and do what ever it takes to keep a clients identity consistent and fluid. I believe in sticking to the basics - not that there aren't times that breaking the rules don't help, but the big picture is simple: do what is best for the goal that is being pursued.
