Pi-us is a Psychedelic Influenced Electronic Music Studio Production, and Live-Act & DJ Team. Lead producer; prodigious mastermind Tredo *Trevor Reid, began producing beats and Electronic compositions at the age of 14, attending local underground rave parties and passing out his early 'garage' style mixes to partiers and DJ's. Completely anonymous until he felt that response was getting loud and appreciative of his music. Since the age of 6 he was interested/studying classical musicians and training himself inside the parameters of musical theory, learning to play the Piano and the Violin at a very young age. Recording his practices and writing notations between music lessons, ideas that inspired him-would one day become the legacy of his production! This LP "Sound-Surgery" is just that, a look back on some ancient loops/music files he and co-producer Zach Varland may have scrambled over the years and performing Surgery on them in order to perfect the sounds and re-create a style of Psychedelic Trance, never before heard like this in the United States underground communities. Incorperating all sorts of styles of music and generes that have impacted the producers and inspired many worldwide alike! Once after a brief trip to the Haight/Ashbury Dist. of San Francisco, Trev spotted his future cover artist on the sidewalk sketching out Psychedelic art. He'd later take on Gary Lang 'Starvin' Artist' to do the artwork for a few earlier releases and EP's on "ChemSet" Label. After developing a close friendship with the young music producer Gary introduced Trev to a fellow musician and Rythm Artist Manifest Eros who'd been producing Acoustic Recordings, and experimentally up-tempo R/B tracks over the past decade and the two made ties immediately, discovering the benefits they would gain from learning each-others opposing styles and talents; history with music and studio mediums. For instance Trev, being a younger generation producer was completely immersed in the newest technologies of DAW software with little to no Analog/Mixing and DAT back-tracking experience; whereas Eros had been running all his grooves electronically from the old-style electro-vibes Beatboxes, and the ROland Groovestations. Trev, the master arranger, producer and engineer crossed with a vocalist/lyricist and songwriter that would change pi-us from being a simple GOA project planned out from a 2cb experience into a multi-cultural and diverse psychedelic production team, incorperating sounds and mixing them to perfection with such an array of beat changes and rythm switching that you won't know what HIT you----HTML code:
