From the stoops of North Philly to the dirty dirty south,Mayne brings to you what no artist brings and that's the mixture of both regions.Mayne started rappin' at the age of 14 but never took it too serious because he was too caught up in the street life, after a few troubles wit the law Mayne's mother decided to move to Florida and have a fresh start in life.At the age of 16 Mayne moved to Polk County where he began a new life with new places, new faces, and most of all new music.Mayne never heard any other music otherthan what the people in Philly was listing to..Biggie,Jay'z,Nas..but Mayne was always open to all kinds of music. At the age of 17 after a year being away from his hometown Mayne was drawn into the southern style of Hip Hop to the bounce, the swagger, even gettin' crunk.Mayne was still writing lyrics from time to time but still never took it too serious, till oneday a classmate asked if he could battle Mayne in front of the whole class,Mayne didn't back down from the challenge even tho he never rapped in front of anybody before. So Mayne went a couple rounds and won the battle. After that everybody in school and the town notice him as 'The Rapper from Philly" or "Mr.Punchline" but Mayne didn't want to be label as this battle rapper cause he really had a story to tell.In 2006 Mayne was introduce to the CEO of LOR Entertainment and decided to form a group which was named "LOR" after touring all over the state and close to finshing the album but like most groups things just didn't work.So at the age of 19 Mayne went back to Philly for a while to gather himself and reconnect with his roots...With all of that leads us up to now where Mayne is back like he never left,Mixing his Philly aggression with his down south swagger,Mayne can't be stopped killin' south beats like no other up north rapper can but still staying true to his roots and not forgetting where he came from.Mayne is 20 now and still has lots of room to grow as an atrist. So if u think he's hot right now can u imagine when he reaches his prime...I know I feel sorry for the rap game too!...Keep supporting Mayne because he does it for the people and from the heart and with so much passion,it's hard to find that in rappers even just regular people these days...Hope you enjoy the music that Mayne brings to you this year and many years to come.
