ME... my name is Debs as most of you already know, I live in Redhill with my wonderful Boyfriend Brad and my kitten Layla. I like to think that Im a pretty easy person to get on with and I love talking and meeting new people. I'm incredibly loyal to the people I care about but I'm the first to admit that sometimes I'm a little over protective of those closest to me and can be less than pleasant to the people who cross me or my loved ones. I'm sometimes slow to let people in and see the real me but if I do then you are obviously someone who I like and respect.
I really try to look on the bright side of life and always attempt to gain something positive from even the worst of situations. Nothing in life is ever easy and nothing is ever simple but you have to make the most of the hand you are dealt and I'm a firm believer that even the worst things that we experience are what make us who we are all the decisions we make and all the paths we choose to take allow us to end up in the places we do. What doesn't kill us should definately make us stronger- life is what you make it! I try to focus more on having fun in my life rather than all the bad things. When I look back on what I have achieved in fifty years time, I want to be proud of what I have seen, felt and achieved and therefore look to the future rather than dwelling on the past.
I can be very opinionated and am quite set in my beliefs but accept others views. Everyone has a right to their own opinion even if it doesn't bare any resemblance to mine. People have their views and I have my own.
I'm a caring person and would put anyone I love before myself. My friends and family are what keep me going. They mean the world to me. I wear my heart on my sleeve and have learnt that honesty really is the best policy. I refuse to bottle up my emotions and have found through experience that it only leads to misery. Therefore you can expect for me to tell you the truth about what I think of what you have told or asked me but will be more than happy to listen for hours while you pour your heart out to me.
I can be sarcastic but very rarely mean to offend and enjoy nothing better than laughing for hours over utter nonsense. I can be ridiculously giggly a lot of the time yet incredibly serious at others.
Music is my main interest, I am never more at home than when Im watching a live band or listening to a favourite song. I mainly listen to rock but can surprise even myself when I like a song which is completely different to anything that I ahve liked before. I don't like to define my tastes as such; I just have to make a connection with the song. My favourite tracks are those that have an emotional effect on me.
I am fiercely ambitious and know exactly what I want from life and will strive to get it. I am fortunate enough to have found the job for me. I am studying at the University of Brighton and am training to be a primary school teacher. I have to teach every subject but specialise in Art and Design. It can be very challenging and emotionally draining but there is something about it I love. There is no better feeling than knowing that you are giving someone a chance in life.
I have the most amazing boyfriend ever, he's called Brad- he's really rather sexy and he makes me smile! :-D
