"After visiting Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce in Las Vegas in 2005, I decided Knoxville needed burlesque! So I came home to Knoxville, and in 2006, I founded White Lightnin Burlesque with the last $500 I had in my savings. I never imagined we would come so far! From the very beginning, I have personally chosen our performers based on not only beauty and talent, but confidence, creativity, integrity, and the love of the stage. We have fun doing what we love, and what more can you ask for in life than that? I often say the biggest compliment we can receive from a fan is that we are 'real women'. My personal mission is to empower others to tap into their own inner hotness. I named the troupe White Lightnin Burlesque for many reasons, one for my drink of choice, the other to pay homage to the heritage of my home. We are sultry, southern vixens who love entertaining you! I like call what we do Southern Burlesque with a rock'n'roll edge! We have lots of sexy surprises in store for the future! So come on out and see us sometime! You'll be glad you did!" _Miz Kitty

"Whether they're pillow-fighting or paying homage to Dolly Parton, reinterpreting "Springtime for Hitler" or engaging in a "duel of the fringe," the White Lightnin' Burlesque Troupe is bringing sexy back to Knoxville. They've come a long way in the past year, evolving from a champagne-fueled experiment into one of the city's most in-demand acts. With an open mind, theirs is a performance that anyone can enjoy; it's equal parts titillating and empowering, provocative and laugh-out-loud hysterical. The women take themselves just seriously enough to turn in a good-quality act, but not so much that they don't see the humor in what they're doing. And most of all, their confidence shines through brighter than a hot-pink thong beneath a clingy, white dress. To Knoxville's own "sisterhood of the traveling fringy panties," we salute you.
