Motown and Soul - ie, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Temptations, and all thatModern Hip-Hop if it's Good - ie, Lauryn Hill, Fugees, Kanye West, Twista, etc.The 80s - yeah - I like eighties music. I kinda always have. Pretty much anything, from the hair metal power ballads to the emo, to the synth-pop.Crappy 90s Hip-Hop - DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, for example.Modern alterna-guitar-folk-rock-cross-genre stuff - Death Cab, Postal Service, Sufjan Stevens, Franz Ferdinand, the Killers, the Darkness.Anyone you might expect at Lilith Fair - I love lesbian rock - Sleater-Kinney, Lisa Loeb, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan - seriously, I love music from women who inspire other women to stop shaving their legs.Modern electronic-based - Freezepop, Portishead, Thievery Corp, techno of all stripes including DJ Tiesto and more.
All sorts, although not a ton lately. I just re-watched Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (awesome!), and decided that I want to read Watership Down.
Precious little - all I watch on network tv now is My Name is Earl and The Office. On cable, there's Battlestar Galactica, Kim Possible, cooking shows, sports, and shows about movies or music.I like some things that aren't on tv any more, like Arrested Development (funniest show ever), Sports Night, Freaks and Geeks, My So-Called Life, etc.
I just finished reading The Once and Future King, and it was very good. Next up: Watership Down.
