I am here for Friends

About Me

Hey! I'm a pharmacy student attending UNC-Chapel Hill by television! Seriously! I live near Elizabeth City, NC...site of a satellite campus! My professors and most of my classmates are about a 3 hour drive away, and we interact by video-teleconferencing equipment, totally live and interactive, every day for class! There are 13 of us in my class at Elizabeth City. Class of 2009! WHOOP! :)

..

My Husband was forced to move more than 600 miles to support my butt while I watched my classes on TV, and I love him for it! He's working really hard. The suckiest thing about moving is that I miss my family. I'm an only child, and my parents each have 7 siblings, so being away is really hard.(say hi to my mom and dad!!)

Where's home? A little place called Falconer, NY - about 1.5 hours Southwest of Buffalo, NY. Not city, not upstate, WESTERN. I promise it exists!!

This is one of the main streets in my hometown...see the hills in the background?? SOOO pretty in fall!!When I'm not in school, I do this (computer junk), I study for school, read for school, stress about school, spend time with my hubby, read - A LOT, play tennis, lift weights, and ride a motorcycle :)

A long time ago God had a great many burdens that He wished to have carried from one place to another on Earth. He asked the animals to lend a hand, but all of them had excuses for not helping: the elephant was too dignified; the lion, too proud; and so on . . .

Finally the birds came to God and said, "If you will tie the burdens into small bundles, we'll be glad to carry them for you. We are small, but we would like to help."

So God fastened upon the back of each bird a small bundle, and they all set out walking across the plain to their destination. They sang as they went, not minding the weight of their burdens at all. Every day the burdens seemed lighter and lighter, until the loads seemed to be lifting the birds, instead of the birds carrying the burdens.

When they arrived at their destination, they discovered that when they removed their loads, there were beautiful wings in their place. Wings that enabled them to fly to the tree tops and soar through the sky, closer and closer to God.

The burdens we carry for others, as well as ourselves, become wings of the spirit, lifting us to new places and bringing us closer and closer to God.

May you always Soar in spite of your Burdens!

True Friendship

1. When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.

2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.

4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.

7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.

This is my oath..... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask; "because you are my friend".

Remember..... ..A good friend will help you move..... a REALLY good friend will help you move a body

My Interests

My Hubby...

My family, my kitty cat, passing pharmacy school, working with Diabetics, wasting time on my computer, watching movies, reading, riding my motorcycle, lifting weights, rollerblading, listening to music loudly and singing (I've been caught in public! HA!), playing tennis, watching pro football and college basketball, heading to the beach, finding new fun things to do in general

Music:

Pretty much everything, classic rock, some hip hop, some country, classical...but especially live music - Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffett, Queen, and Meatloaf are my favorites...but I like absolutely everything except heavy metal slasher screaming rock.

Television:

I LOVE GhostHunters on SciFi. Those guys are fun, and it freaks me out a bit, which is fantastic!
