R.I.P Jason E. Mooney

Well i am 21 and about 5'8. I have blonde hair and hazel eyes but they do change depends on my mood. I am attending college to become a Fire Marshel. I am a volunteer Firefighter at Coles District Volunter Fire Department and Rescue Squad 6. I am a paid firefighter in stafford county. I am usually easy to get along with but i do tend to speak my mind so i get in trouble alot. Other than that i am a pretty easy guy to be around and fun.Ask yourself this:How is it that firefighters run into a buring building when others are running out?.....There are many things i can tell you but you will never understand. You will never understand what it is like to hear that the person you spent time with in a overturned car listening to there life is pronouced dead at the hopital after the rest of your crew worked so hard to cut the car to get them out. You will never understand what it is like to have to say "We will do all we can" to somebody but knowing you are too late. You will never understand what it is like to get on the pumper not knowing if it is you will return. You will never understand what it is like to watch a firefighter cry as what he or she has held in all comes out. You will never understand what it is like to hear a call go out that you know when you get on scene somebody did not make it. You will never understand what it is like to hold back your emotions and feelings till you get back to the station and let it out because the call you just ran was a firend. You will never understand what it is like to make a decison where you had to chose who lives and who dies, but wishing you didnt have to. You will never understand what it is like to be a teenager who is staring death in the face and not think twice of the danger that could follow. You will never understand what it is like as your friends say "you dont have time for us anymnore" because you were out helping people in need and wishing you will make a difference. You will never understand what it is like to look at dead body at a accident scene with two cars, and telling a family that there kid is dead because the other person in the other car was not paying attention, as the other person walks away with just minor injuires. You will never understand the emotions we have to hold in because we have to look strong on scene but when we get back to the station we brake down. You will never understand what it is like to be called jerks because we laughed in front of you at a scence to help us deal with the horror that we see each and everyday. You will never understand what it is like to drop to you knees in pain and cry because one of your brothers or sisters did not make it out. You will never understand what it is like to have a short drive back to the station but it seemd forever because when you left you had four all together but when you left the fire scence you only had three because your brother went through a floor and was taken to the hospital by a helicoptor. You will never understand what is it like to do CPR ona person already dead but you want there family have the the idea you did everything you could to help. You will never understand the things we do or the things we are asked to do unless you have lived this life. Please remember what we do is dangrous and stressful and understand the price we all pay to help you in need.
