I was born Caitlin Weeks.
Raised by grandparents in a town named Cool. Attended Northside Elementary School.
Adopted by grandparents in 6th grade, switched my last names so I am now Caitlin McClarin.
Attended Golden Sierra Highschool in Garden Valley.
Shaved my head in highschool when one of my best friends had a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit surgically removed.
Shaved my head a year later cause growing it out is so aggravating.
Grew out my hair. It's now.. rather long. It was bright red on top and sort of blackish underneath. Now and then, it's basic brown with black underneath still.
Been through a plethora of relationships and upon reflection one can't really say many relationships that ended were good. A few were alright. Maybe.. two. ... one. Something like that. All the rest sucked for various reasons.
I am now with a wonderful man, Mike, with whom, in the beginning, neither of us expected to end up having such a lasting, great relationship, but man is he awesome. I love him from the bottom of my heart.. And the top of my heart. And everything in between and everything else. He's very handsome, very talented, kind, patient, devoted, has a heart of gold, and old soul like me.
He is a great, very talented singer, guitar player, and totally amazed me when I got to hear him play piano, play the dij, djembe, klong yaw, drums, etc.
We've been officially together since September 2005 or so, not quite sure when it became official, but I'm so glad it did. My eternal thanks go to my cousin Mary and her husband Forest for introducing us via events surrounding their wedding ceremony.
I've been attending Sierra Community College in Rocklin off and on since I finished half a year early from GSHS when i took the proficiency exam during independent study.
I'm a photography fanatic with a shortage of awesome equipment such as my cousin Colin has. I sing/sang/sung at various points in the last few years and may again. Played clarinet for some 5 years. Type crazyfast like some people you may know. Make fun of having a myspace account regularly, and the fact that everyone and their mothers have myspace these days.
I draw, and make arty things on the 'puter, but not as well as shitloads of other people. I'm nothing spectacular, but I can't say I'm unspectacular.
I moved out of the Sierra Nevada Foothills and lived in Roseville, CA with many changing roommates: Mike, of course, and plenty of no good, cheating, thieving, sneaky people (and off and on my bombass cousin Justin) in a pretty cool house and had a general good time finally having my own life, able to make my own mistakes and deal with the consequences myself. And boy did I make some, and learn some. I lost a lot, and gained more. I chalk it up to life lessons.
I've come back to my home, with Mike as my fiance, to make our way in the peace of the woods and foothills. Away from the city and all it's people and troubles.
As you may notice in my pictures, I have reconnected with my dad, and not too long after, my sister, his daughter, found me, therefor finding him as well, and its amazing discovering our similarities. I am so very glad we've all found each other.
