I am here for Friends

About Me

I dream in color, and rather than recurring themes or specific dreams I have recurring places. There are bookstores, junk shops and theatres that I could draw maps of from the world of my dreams - as well as an alternative New York whose streets are almost as real to me as the true ones. I'm learning to play guitar and buy art and have read the same 75 pages of Moby Dick over and over and over again. I like good music and a cold beer and talking to good friends on the phone. Dracula is always funny to me, and if you want to read the book I wrote (not Dracula related) I can send it to you. Because I am a whore. A stinking painted Jezebel.

My Interests

Movies, music, reading, Dracula, white water rafting, black water rafting (I'm an equal opportunity rafter), ironic facial hair, fine dining, and toast with strawberry jelly.

I'd like to meet:

Your Mom.

Music:

Dr. Hook - the early Shel Silverstein stuff. Later they got a bit scmaltzy. Creedence Clearwater, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, Marvin Gaye, Dave Loggins, Dennis Locorriere (anybody?), and all that great Weezer, Radiohead and other fantastic shit my buddies in colleged listened to, but I was too stupid to buy.

Movies:

Harold and Maude. Hell yeah. American Beauty, All That Jazz, Dawn of the Dead (1978, haven't seen the new one), Magnolia, Monster movies, art films - Back to the Future 1 and 3. 2 doesn't really do it for me. And the Muppet Movie rules. The sequels are fine, but that first one where they get in the car and drive to Hollywood...Man!

Television:

I don't have any stations, and haven't regularly for years - however - I love Chapelle's Show, South Park, Jack of All Trades, Scrubs (seriously), and Becker with my Dad. Don't judge me. I've seen you naked.

Books:

No thanks, I'm trying to quit.

Heroes:

Boris Karloff, Vincent Price (look him up - he was a well rounded dude. Chef, art expert. What have you done today?), Peter O'Toole, Mr. T, Shel Silverstein, Shakespeare, R. Scott Lank, Jim Henson, Cat Stevens and Jim Croce, Dennis Locorriere and Ray Sawyer, John and Kay Hodge (who should be higher on the list), Frankenstein, Fozzie Bear and Long John Silver (of the fried food joint, not the book).

My Blog

Tom?

So who the hell is this "Tom" guy who claims to be my one and only friend?  I've never even heard of this cat!  And how the hell do you find anybody on this site?  I've been looking for...
