I am Jackie Mary Betro Mahassine. I was born in Utica New York, into a loving family. I have 2 older brothers Joey and Jimmy and an older sister Jeanne. I have a younger sister Julie. We're the 5 J Betro kids, born to George and Gloria Betro. My father George, was a Judge in the court system here in Utica, my mother Gloria used to be a substitute teacher. They are both retired and spend half of the year in Florida, they're lucky. (Once my son Zach graduates we'll be moving down there.) My mom is a very religious woman and has taught me that God can get you through anything. As long as He is with you, you have nothing to worry about. Jeanne is the oldest. She was the first out of the home and the first to be married. She married Dave DeSantis. They had 4 kids together. Little David is in college now and soon James will be too. Joey is in middle school and little Christian started his first year of public school this year, after a few years being homeschool, he is adjusting. They've bought my mom and dad's summer home in Sylvan Beach.Jimmy is the oldest after her. He is a lawyer in Oneida. In his 20s he married Enessa Carbone. Together they had two children, Nicole and Michael Betro. Things got shaky and Jimmy and Enessa split up. both remarried. Enessa gave birth to little gabriella in the past year, a child from her new marriage. Jimmy met Amy Hiliker in his 40s. They got married. Jimmy adopted her son Michael.Joe got married to Judy Prokop. They had Joey, Sadie and George Betro. After a few years in New York, Judy wanted to move back to her family in Michigan. They live there till this day, Joe as an ER doctor and Judy as a stay at home mom. Young George was given back to God this year, may he rest in peace. We keep him in our memories and he gives us strength. He was our special little guy.Julie is my only younger sibling. She's the baby of the family, even she now has babies of her own. She is a doctor and has a practice with Saint Elizabeth's. She married Louis Shkane. Together they birthed Albert and Kloe Shkane.As for my life. I was never a good student in school. I never went to college. After Highschool I moved to Washington where i met my husband Fouad. He is from Morocco. We have 2 children. Zach and Georgia. Fouad and I used to own a restaurant called the Mediterrainean Cafe here in Utica. It went bankrupt. Since then we have tried alot of things. A few years ago Fou moved to Florida to get a job down there. During the summer we moved down there. After that we all moved back. Once Zach graduates we'll be moving back down, but for now Zach, Georgia, me and Fou are stuck in Utica. And that's ok, this is my hometown and this is where my family is.The most important thing to me is my family, with them and God, I have nothing to worry about.
