THE SOUND...
Put emotion and edge together with introspection and an itch to push at boundaries and you've got the signature sound of Plastic Sky.
Like its name, the band's music is about opposites enmeshing...the organic with the synthetic, the delicate with the abrasive, the dreamy and ruminative with the hard-hitting and confrontational. At times dark and brooding, at times tender and blissful, always searching, ever restless, the songs wander a terrain populated by love, politics, and contemporary society, as lyrics push to the brink of poetry without spilling over.
BUZZ ABOUT THE BAND…
"A singer with a sound between Chrissie Hynde and Martha Davis of the Motels, Plastic Sky is a band that puts out an energetic and muscular pop—rock, really….If you miss the Pretenders, you'll find a more than satisfactory substitute with Plastic Sky."
-- Phil, Sucrepop, France

"What a great, great band. The voice of Susane is just amazing. Musically it’s just beautiful...soothing and kick-ass at the same time. 'Shadows Fill Your Eyes' is absolutely a cool tune and there’s a lot more where that came from."
-- Buddy, The Buddy Culver Show, USA

"Plastic Sky are a cool indie band from Washington DC. They create melodies that resonate long after the songs have finished. Listen to the space within and around 'Rooms of Innocence' and you begin to appreciate the artistic confidence and direction. The power of 'No Words' grips you from the first bar. The knowledge that they’re working on more songs fills me with anticipation. I don’t know what to expect, but I know it will be good."
