Kev has a unique and signature dirty electro house sound that has been wowing huge audiences all over North America and the world. It’s heavy and full of energy, with dirty basslines and sexy vibes that have filled dance floors at every event he’s played. Each of his sets has a flavor that is recognized as distinctly Kev but is customized to the vibe of each audience.
His versatility allows for seamless transitions between a variety of electronic styles: from Dirty Electro House and Breaks through to Dubstep and sometimes even some DnB. This all tied together with a pure filthy sound that Kev has become known for all over the globe, making him an extremely popular act wherever he’s performed.
Kev has been a headlining act at almost every major music festival across western North America over the past few years, including Shambhala, Motion Notion and Astral Harvest. He also just recently played a tour in New Zealand, including a performance on nationally syndicated George FM to a listenership of 65,000+ people, and received huge support from all performances in the country.
With three innovative albums to his credit and a fourth on the way, Kev has matured his style in many ways. His third album (Recovery) was highly acclaimed and described by fellow artists and fans globally as groundbreaking and greatly influential.
His latest mix was broadcast to a huge global audience on New Year’s Day 2009 alongside Will Bailey + Calvertron (aka Twocker) and Rudder. The show was again rebroadcast 2 weeks later due to the overwhelming feedback that was received. Kev has also received recognition from electronic heavyweights such as John B, Steve Murano, Miss Behavin’, Trent Cantrelle, Skool of Thought and Ministry of Sound’s Brian Cheetham. He also has won countless competitions over the years, including a Bacardi sponsorship in 2007.
With 600+ shows under his belt, a give it all attitude and the Canadian spirit within him, Kev produces some of the most amazing live performances out there. Always dropping the sickest, filthiest and floor-filling basslines for his crowds, or creating new sounds not yet discovered, DJ Kev has been labeled by thousands as an act not to be missed, and will be a musical force to be reckoned with for years to come.
