About Me

Backstory:

Brandon Moore received a degree in Music Composition (TCU 1999) as well as a certificate in Scoring for Film from the University of Southern California (2000). He often claims that it was listening to record albums of film scores that compelled him into composing in general and wanting to study music further. Among some of his favorite film composers are John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Bruce Broughton, and David Shire.
Since moving to Los Angeles, he has scored a number of independent films, shorts, documentaries, industrials and music for online projects. Some of his recent credits are RETURN TO VIETNAM, a documentary about U.S. Marine veterans returning to that country to help build rural health clinics and festival winner feature film RAY BRADBURY'S CHRYSALIS based on the short story by celebrated Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer Ray Bradbury.

A PIECE OF WOOD Reviews:

"Terrific performances in this piece derived from Ray Bradbury. Excellent lighting, photography, direction, and editing. I look forward to seeing what these filmmakers do when they have the resources to deliver their dreams. Fine work."
-- Douglas Trumbull (Filmmaker and visual effects pioneer, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, BLADE RUNNER, STAR TREK THE MOTION PICTURE)
"A Piece of Wood is an excellent, A-1 film. Bravo!"
-- Ray Bradbury (Author THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES, SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, FARENHEIT 451)
"A gem, an engaging look at human nature. One of the best works I have seen in years. This is what good science fiction is all about."
-- Lawrence T. Meyer (Science Fiction Universe Monthly E-Newsletter)
"A serious and very scary look at human beings and their seemingly endless lust for war. The acting is superb and the original music by Brandon Moore is outstanding."
--Dick Dyszel (Host of Creature Feature)
"A work of unique imagination."
--Forrest J. Ackerman (Mr. Science Fiction, Legendary editor of FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND MAGAZINE)
