How do you do? My name is Sana Farooq. I'm a 25 year old singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. I am a model, actress, dancer, poet, and writer, but my passion is singing my songs and playing my guitar.
I was born and raised in the T.Dot. My parents are Pakistani/Guyanese. I started singing at the tender age of five and began to pursue my dream of singing at the age of 8. I am an alumna from the Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts and I've done back up singing for Contemporary R&B artist Melanie Durrant. I am currently working in the entertainment business as a model, actress, and dancer and pursuing my dreams.
I'm currently working in the studio with a variety of producers and honing my songwriting. I am always on the lookout for a new producer with a unique sound and if you know of anyone with hot beats, by all means send them my way!
My dream is to record my own album and tour with my own band. My short term goal is to be signed to a record deal as a performing artist, and also to break into the New York and Hollywood acting and modelling scenes.
My medium term goals are to establish my production company, under which I direct music videos and produce a screenplay I have started writing.
In the long term, I plan on becoming a teacher and doing outreach work in Africa. Wherever God sends me, I will go.
Thanks to the Grace of God and my outstanding talent, i hope to achieve all of my dreams. I trust in the Lord that these dreams will come to pass. Remember, success is determined by failure. Keep pressing forward and let no man stand in your way.
