B4 the Storm

About Me

Phil Dickert ("Off the Richter", "The Active Sides", "Big Red Pill", "The Truth", "Wish", "The Guppy Effect") decided to form a cover band that would play a few originals. As the band developed and growed Phil's originals became an elegant centerpiece in the groups repetoire and the focus shifted to being more of an original band that plays covers. B4 the Storm has played over 50+ shows to date including "The Dry Bean" in Madison, "Wandos" in Madison, the historic "Rave" in Milwaukee and reached the 2nd round at the Bodog battle of the bands in Chicago (but had to back out for personal reasons). Phil has now taken the B4 the Storm name to southern California and is close to releasing a 5 song EP sometime in December 2007. There will be many surprises along the way as you find out the unpredictable, playful, and vividly imaginative nature of the "B4 the Storm" experience. The enigma of Phil's songwriting can romantic and seductive, hard-edged and powerful, subtle and serene, melancholy, and rich in emotional depth, or in your face Rock with a voice that softly blends with the music or soars above making use of a powerful 3 octave range. Some songs are fun and shallow...some songs have enormous depth and meaning...making you wonder...how far down does the rabbit hole go? http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/21125
