In heaven all the interesting people are missing.

About Me

Where to start?? I just moved back up to AK after being gone for 6 years. I LOVE my dog, my family, my friends, driving nowhere late at night, vodka martinis, reading, watching my musically talented friends make music, tennis, hiking, all Gidget movies, shopping at Target for crap I don't need, the feeling of new socks before they are washed, kids faces at Christmas, my Ipod, the smell of satsuma from the body shop, watching sunsets, buying sandals, soy lattes from Kaladis, good memories, puppy breath, meeting new people, learning from someone who truly is wiser not just thinks they are, Beluga point @ midnight, laughing until it hurts, falling in love....I get myspace layouts at UltimateMySpace.com. My Interests

I'm interested in everything & anything, some of the things I actually do are play with my weiner...dog, his name is trooper, I also like to take pictures, drink wine and buy overpriced flip-flops.

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet all other people who think their mini-dachshund is the cutest mini-dachshund in the world. And it would be great to catch up with old friends that I haven't heard from in a while and meet new and interesting people.

Music:

I like classical music, relaxing trance music, Ani Difranco, Melissa Ferrick, and Stevie Nicks...Sublime, Dave Matthews, Violent Femmes, Leonardo's Bride, Nellly Furtado pre-ghetto, to name a few. I like about everything except twangy country and am open to anything. Give me a CD and I'll listen to it.

Movies:

My #1 favorite is Empire Records, some others include The Sweetest Thing, Closer, Saved, Caddyshack, Splendor in the Grass, Gidget (all 3, don't knock it til you watch it), Dirty Dancing, My Girl, and Lost and Delirious.

Television:

Sex and the City, The L Word, Meerkat Manor on the Animal Planet.

Books:

Walden, "A Natural History of the Senses" by Diane Ackerman, "Minding the Body," John Grisham in general, "Anthem" by Ayn Rand, and of course the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling.

Heroes:

My Mommy and Daddy and my pup Trooper!

New job, new start, new people to piss off

Yeah, new job awaits me this week. It is quite amazing how monotonous the daily life can get with nowhere to go, no money to go with, and no need to get up before 3pm. Thank god for Grey Goose ...
