Fozzys interest in the music scene first begun in the early 2000's. To begin with his producing history spawned on music creation program named Ejay. From here he started piecing basic tracks together using the extensive sample library and sequencer. It didn’t take him long to reach the boundaries of the program and once he begun to play with his own beats and riffs Ejay was left in the past. After doing some research, Reason seemed the logical choice for Fozzy and it was from here his sounds would begin to take off.
Fozzy's influences within his music where coming from the mainstream Dance scene (Ultrabeat, Special D, Lasgo) and all his new tracks where getting smashed out on the decks at his local youth club every week. This is the style that ultimately influenced the sound Fozzy would create from then to the present day. Bouncy, Thumping base. Even to this day the 3 words above are at the heart of Fozzys interest in music.
In 2003 Fozzys sound dramatically changed. A friend introduced him to the Speed garage genre. It didn’t take long for Fozzy to be hooked. This sound was the definition of what he was about. Big kicks, hats, warping basslines and immense vocals. He was on it. After bringing out various remixes and releasing them onto the web, Fozzy was hooked up with Martin Egan who owned an internet radio station. After securing himself a set he began a series of remixes collaborating with Martin. These 3 mixes were signed to Re-generate Records (Birmingham) and Martin and Fozzy decided on the joint name of Kross Kultures to be displayed as producer. Along with his joint release and shifting his mix CDs around his friends Fozzys name was rapidly getting known. He produced a basic remix of the Akon - Lonely track and this smashed the stereos of pretty much every bassline lover in Leeds.
In the mid 2008 Fozzys style took a change for the last time to the current date. He met a young aspiring bedroom DJ (Craig C) on the eve of 2009 and this secured his change of heart to begin the New Year. Electro house was the new style! Steadily sweeping the bars and clubs of Leeds this was the sound that was about to start the new takeover. Again, sticking with the basic rules for the love of Fozzys sound, Electro house passed with the filthy basslines and the thumping kick drums. If not with a slightly funkier and more acceptable sound to the tracks Fozzy still managed to find his ideal Electro heading right down to the bottom for the dark and filthy tracks. It didn’t take long for him to become business partners with Craig C and following swiftly on from his hugely successful Electro-tek monthly, FUSE'd promotions where formed.
After a few hard months of discussion and talks Fozzy & Craig C secured one of the biggest and ideal venues in Leeds to host the FUSE'd monthly Fidget & Dirty Electro night at. With a choice of 3 rooms, 3 massive sound systems and a management team that where happy to help this is to this current date where the FUSE'd team reside. For now, get registered on www.fusedpromotions.co.uk and keep your eyes and ears open for 'Fozzys' name, as this guy will play a set you will definitely not forget.
