The Chairmen

About Me

The Chairmen are 5 young lads from Leicester. The band have built themselves a reputation as a great live band and have become one of the top acts to go and see in the city.
With gigs supporting the Wombats, The Rumble Strips, Kula Shaker, Good Shoes, The Young Knives, a main stage appearance at Summer Sundae 08, and a main stage appearance at Music Live 2008 at the NEC to name a few, they havent been short of some impressive stages, and with a seemingly never ending list of gigs that are constantly being thrown their way, The Chairmen dont seem to stop moving. The lads have also recently been crowned champions of the Surface Unsigned Festival 2008...the celebrations went on for many days after.
The Chairmen are becoming known for creating what have been described as 'indie anthems' that have been hitting the spot with audiences all over the country! A gang of best mates who will entertain any crowd thats put in front of them, and with an endless stream of new material still yet to be worked on, there is still alot more to come from these lads yet.
PRESS QUOTES....
The Chairmen are one of Leicesters outstanding rock bands. Their five band members discharge a stream of catchy and highly polished songs. They know how to work an audience and there is always a great sense of occasion when they play a gig - Arts In Leicestershire
The Chairmen oozed enthusiasm, and the crowd, some of whom I suspect were already fans of this band, were eating out of their hands - Sandman Magazine
See this band quick and get your dancing shoes on - Leicester Student Uni Reviewer
Their sound is achingly sharp and thoroughly contemporary within which they have written some exceptional material with a wide range, witty lyrics and excellent guitar work. Displaying a whole host of mish-mashed ideas within their music they bring it all together flawlessly for something unique and genuinely exciting - Surface Unsigned Festival
