About Me

I was the best mechanic you ever saw for about seventeen years. I had back surgery in 2002 so I had to change careers and now I'm in Real Estate. I love drag racing and building hotrods. I enjoy hanging out in my garage with friends and talking racing.I'm not just an ordinary run of the mill self proclaimed gearhead. I actually have studied Muscle cars and Chevrolet racing engines for the last 29 years and I continue to read and study on a daily basis. Being a Professional mechanic for most of my life has taught me more than the average wannabe do it yourselfer. Never ceases to amaze me that some punk that sits behind a desk all day somehow has the idea that he knows better than someone that actually does it all day long for a living. My good friend and I have put together many street/strip cars and have built lots of engines. We build our own engines, transmissions and rearends. I don't trust that kind of stuff to anyone. We put together combinations to run a certain bracket or a certain ET and that's what they do. It seems that there's always someone who wants a "600" horsepower 10 second street car. I don't really care about horsepower numbers unless they can be verified by a dyno sheet but even then I really don't give a shit. The way I see it is if you want a certain car to run a certain ET, that's what it'll run when I'm done with it...don't ask how much horsepower it has just run the damn thing. Between me and my partner we have experimented with more engine combinations and components that it's just ridiculous. We used to design our own cams and then have the local cam grinder make it for us the we'd try it out, have another one done, try it out and so on and so on. We would try different carb/intake combinations to see what worked and what didn't, cam swaps, ignitions systems...you name it, we probably tried it. As you can probably tell, drag racing is pretty much my life and yes, I am very good at what I do. To me drag racing ain't a game...I'm there to put as many people on the trailer as it takes to win.

I'd like to meet:

Really anyone that's interested in racing. Maybe we can swap some knowledge. Wish I could say I'd like to meet some hot women but being married and all probably wouldn't go over to well. I do love my wife and we have two teenage daughters. Now that's a handful right there I'll tell you what.
