Dibbo

Dibbo here... aka AJ. I live in a small village called Horsington which is outside Wincanton, Somerset. I've been self employed for about 14 years and have my own business consulting, and selling lighting and other related products to the professional photographic industry.
I'm involved in organising a small yearly private party come mini festival which is held in my mates rather large garden. This isn't some hippy gathering, or rock-fest, but more of a gathering of like minded people looking to have a good time. I can't describe the atmosphere, but it is without question a fantastic event. You will find a rather eclectic mix of music, and if the sun shines, then that's even better. Food is supplied by Declan from Wincanton Deli and everyone brings their own alcohol.
From the beginning the whole idea was to raise money for Air Ambulance. We erect a covered stage with lighting, and we have a sound engineer with all the kit. Other years we have had up to 15 bands playing over 12 hours, though this year we are keeping it a lot more relaxed... We are also looking for a Magician or comedian.
The only thing is that it is by invite only... No one gets paid, myself and Terry have put a serious amount of our own time and money into organising it each year. In 2007 we raised approximately £800.00 and we hope to raise even more this year.
