Paul Anthony Though a church-boy from birth, Paul Anthony noticed his gift for lyrical writing and began yielding to rap music at 12 years of age. He started rapping on his own, becoming famous in his hometown and surrounding areas for his crafty language. It wasn’t long before Paul Anthony became a sought after artist by secular mainstream recording labels. Rap music began leading him into a sinful lifestyle as Paul Anthony began indulging in a lifestyle of rebellion and crime. His life going downhill, Paul Anthony made a critical, life-saving choice by giving his life to Jesus Christ in April of 2003. He was filled with the Holy Ghost later that same year, and now serves in various capacities at his church, Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of his pastor and mentor, Bishop Isaac King Jr. Paul Anthony accepted the call into the ministry and preached his trial sermon entitled “Exchange for a Change†in 2004 receiving his ministerial license April 17, 2005. Paul Anthony now uses his musical ability for God’s purposes only. Now understanding the power of music, his desire is to create music that entertains less and ministers more. He believes that many of today’s gospel artists are creating lukewarm music – music that’s neither hot nor cold for God, but compromising. Born on February 3, 1985, Paul Anthony Wade II discovered he had a love for music at the tender age of five years old when he sang his first song, “Oh Mary Don’t You Weep,†at Amity Baptist Preschool of Inkster, Michigan. After his teachers and classmates complimented his singing ability, Paul Anthony began listening to his mother’s records of the infamous gospel artists BeBe and CeCe Winans, his fascination of music increasing. Growing older, Paul Anthony began mastering his art in music, branching out from vocal to instrumental by joining his middle and high school marching, jazz, urban and concert bands, as well as orchestras.
