Myspace LayoutsI'm on facebook now too.I am 27 years old and originally from Toluca, Illinois and went to Fieldcrest High School. Between high school and college I was on staff at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmaron, NM were I met my husband Jason who was also on staff. I attended the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign for my freshman year of college before transferring to the University of Georgia so I could be with Jason and get married.
Suprising to many disbelievers, I'm still happily married, completed a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science, and am now working on my Ph.D. I'll be looking at the lpxXL gene in Rhizobium which may place a long chain fatty acid onto the lipid A portion of LPS during symbiosis with pea plant roots. I've got about a year until I take my prelims. Scary stuff.
I am also a full-time Research Science Technician for the USDA Agricultural Research Service working in Athens, Georgia. We research ways to help minimize and prevent Salmonella and Campylobacter colonization of poultry.
I have been married to Jason (www.paintballshots.net) for 8 years now. We are also the proud parents of a German Shepherd (Kubrick) and two cats (Georgie and Miss Priss).
I first played paintball many years ago when big brothers got the new semi-automatics and poor little sister got the old pump gun. I played that summer and didn't really think about paintball again until 2004. My husband finally convinced me that he needed a paintball marker and I figured I might as well get one too so we could play together. Since 2004 I have played on two 3-man teams, Elemental Dragunz and Extreme Addiction. I also played for one season on the University of Georgia team. Then I coached and captained for Galvanized (an all-female paintball team) for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Due to some political and management issues I decided it was in my best interest to move on. For 2007 I played CFOA Rookie 5-Man for ATL Phoenix.
Now I am playing for MPW'S DVS and play 5-Man Beginner CFOA for the 2008 season.
Other than paintball, I also like to go camping and backpacking. I do a little stretch of the Appalacian Trail every year. I also like to check out new wineries and try different kinds of beer.
