About Me

You're listening to radio2XS live now
radio2XS launched in 2002, when UK radio had virtually abandoned all non-chart and unsigned music. This is what we do...:
New Music:
We mix a large playlist of what we think are the best current singles, albums and demos and we play a variety of genres but with an emphasis on guitars and experimental electro music. For new and unsigned acts, the good news is that, if we like your music enough to play it, you don't get confined to a niche show - your track gets aired throughout our programming right alongside the 'big names'. To send us music, please go to radio2XS.com and use the address there. No MP3s, please. Thanks.
Live Sessions:
radio2XS is the only onLine-only station to record its own full-on live sessions (the 'Barn Sessions'), which you can hear weekly at 12:00 Saturdays and 22:00 Sundays (UK).
60 Years Of Rock & Roll:
We also broadcast weekly Specialist shows:
The Lounge is our soundtrack to Sunday mornings, playing soul, 60s R&B, Easy, Hammond, Soundtrack.
60s 2XS plays 60s Rock & Roll.
2XS Overdrive plays 60s/70s Classic/Prog/Psychedelic Rock.
Generation X plays the 'credible' 80s.
Tied To the 90s plays the Indie 90s.
Zeros & Ones plays everything from 2000 onwards.
The Attic has no format - it plays anything and everything.
The New Music Playlist plays nothing but music from this week's playlist (bit obvious, really!)
These are aired first all through Sundays, with repeats late evenings during the rest of the week.
The team behind radio2XS has been involved in promoting New Music and non-mainstream albums for many years. Station Editor, Jeff Cooper, is arguably the longest-running continuous broadcaster of New Music on UK radio.
Our other broadcasters, including John Peters, Caroline Woodruff, Guy Morris, Ed Parnell and Mike TV, are music-lovers with many years of experience in UK radio. We like to think it shows!
If you like what you're hearing now, please visit radio2XS.com for other ways to tune in using Mobile devices, Internet radios and, of course, your PC.
