About Me

Well, here are the basics... Classified was started in the summer of 2005, by the bass player, Mark and Lead Guitarist, Brian when their band Project Mayhem, dissolved at a show! Brian and Mark had been playing music for years, Mark was in the band, Rochambeau, and Brian in Fusion, before both answered an ad for the Project Mayhem band in the early spring of 2005. So, once that band dissolved, with no drummer, singer or rhythm guitar player, they decided that they still wanted to keep something going, and started the long, difficult process of finding replacements. After some "try-outs", they had their second guitar player, Jason, a long time friend of Mark's who has honed his chops over the years, and was ready to step out into a band. Jason and Mark were in a Kiss tribute band who rocked out the Cal U homecoming parade in 2000. The problem...still no drummer. Mark's wife, Stacey, had started playing drums earlier in the year, and said she would sit in and keep time until the band could find a full time member. Well, turns out she can keep time pretty well! (Yeah, chick drummer!) A few singers have come and gone since the start, and all have been important in the growth of the band, (Thanks to Mike and Dirt, and really big THANKS to Wayne, from Backburner, who has helped us out on more than one occasion!!!) and for a while, it seemed as though the band had finally found someone with the high level of energy we were looking for, and same musical and party vision as the rest of the band in Scott, but unfortunately, his work schedule keeps him full, and we hope he can join us again in the future... SO - the UPDATE is: Mark is now singing!! He debuted at the Ellsworth Park Festival, for the 4th of July, and then brought it on strong at J. Cole's on July 9th, with some strong support coming along from Brian, who has had to step in and sing a few for us as well. Stacey has been singing back ups when she can from behind the kit. As it looks now, we have some exciting new things planned, and are probably going to try our hand as a 4 piece. We are working out our updated song list right now, and recording, but keep posted... New things to come. ************************************************************ *********** Classified is now set to rock, and continues to build a reputation as a high energy, fun-time band, who plays music to rock to, drink to and dance to. Our song list ranges from funk, to punk to hard-core rock and roll. Don't wait too long, check out all of the excitement. Coming soon to your town!living dead girl classified
