I really enjoy art. I mean, I like to draw and use pastels, pen and ink, and colored pencils. I guess art museums are alright, but they're not as fun. I enjoy singing. My husband is a singer/songwriter, so I get to sing backup for him once in awhile. I used to be addicted to the Internet, but then I quit (well, mostly). I have to give big kudos to the people in my life who are taking me back to the dark side. Like to watch movies...I don't think there's many people who don't like to do that. I used to do some scrapbooking. I started on one for my brother about three years ago...and it's still sitting there. Sorry Scottie. I love worship music--well, there's good and bad--so that would mean I like the good stuff. I enjoy going to concerts where I can hear the words to the songs. I like being able to jump around with other people. I feel comfortable that way. If I was the only one jumping, it would be embarrassing. Concerts are a great way to feel comfortable with your weirdness. I just don't get to go to as many as I would like. I also enjoy camping. It is great. Okay. Enough about me already.
Normal people. Do they make those anymore? :)
Led Zeppelin!!!!, David Crowder Band, Jack Johnson, Derek Webb, David Gray, Third Day, LIVE, Alice in Chains, The Black Crowes, Delirious?, Radiohead, Chili Peppers, Cake, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Queen, Tree63, U2, The Waiting, Death Cab for Cutie, and OF COURSE Elliott Evans :) Check out Elliott...
The Princess Bride (my personal fav), Napoleon Dynamite, Hero, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp), Pirates of the Carribean, Blow, Office Space...geez...you know there's more, but there's a plethora of movies out there...which reminds me...The Three Amigos. I also really love U2's "Go Home" live DVD. It rocks!!
Fox News, That 70's Show, the Simpsons, King of the Hill, King of Queens, Friends. I used to watch the X-Files and Star Trek NG religiously. Also liked Wishbone and the Powerpuff Girls, but let's keep that to ourselves...
The Bible would be the most encouraging and life changing book I've ever read. On another scale, I collect Caldecott medal winners...that is, children's books that win a medal for their artistry. I loved reading Animal Farm by George Orwell, also the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Right now, I'm reading The Secret Garden. It's really good. I really like children's literature. I also love The Princess and the Goblin and The Princess and Curdie, both by George MacDonald. There was a comic book series called Midnight Nation that I really liked. It was done by the same guy who did Spawn and wrote for Babylon 5, I believe. I'm starting to get back into reading. Currently, I'm also reading Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers. She knows what she's talking about. On a slightly different note, Nathan and I are going to write a children's book this summer. I'll keep you in the know.
My dad, my mom...and this superfly rapping squirrel...uh, yeah.
