The Stiff Kitten Bar and Club is located off the Dublin Road at 1 Bankmore Square in Belfast. Both the Club/Venue and bar aim to offer customers the ability to enjoy real music in pleasant surroundings and be served quality drinks by friendly, polite staff.
The venue has gone through extensive renovations and there are three main areas in The Stiff Kitten's modular design, each with its own unique identity (and also the ability to work seamlessly with the others), the result being a comfortable, flexible space. The main and public bar opens late every night and is at all times free in. It serves a diverse range of premium drinks, with Belfast's finest djs playing at the weekend (and perhaps the odd surprise international guest too!!!).
The second bar or 'Blue Room' is a more modern, cutting edge environment and will act as a lounge for the club, as well as at times an extension to the front bar. This room will also be available to hire for parties and corporate events (call Robert on 02890 238700 for details). The third area is the club/venue, specifically designed with the quality of any musical experience in mind. It hosts Ireland's first Funktion 1 Dance Stacks, which provide a superlative audio experience. We went to the F1 factory and met the owners in order to specify the precise audio requirements for the venue at large (all rooms feature a Funktion 1 system). Couple this with installation by industry leaders Locksley Associates and what we are left with is an audio experience of the highest possible calibre, matched by the quality and diversity of music on offer.
Since the opening in 2005, there has been countless International artists play in the venue, including 2manyDjs, Erol Alkan, Mark Ronson, Carl Cox and Carl Craig, as well as live acts like New Young Pony Club and Ash.
