Marrero) was born to very religious mother. He was his mother’s only child but his fathers 5th. While under the watch of his father (or lack there of), he fell into the crippling hand of the streets. With no supervision roaming the streets one night he witnessed a murder that would forever change his life. In fear of being shot ace regressed into a non-emotional state which would consume him over the years.
In 1995 at the now defunct Source Awards, Outkast told New York, “the south had something to say!” Ace was inspired to begin has quest for hip-hop domination. Though he told no one of this urge to do music, he would secretly write songs. It wasn't until 1998 when he heard DMX'S It Dark and Hell is Hot that he had realize that he needs music to express his inner thoughts. He always had a chip on his shoulder but now he was use music to get it off. Still not a serious matter in his life, Aces only concerns were money and women.
In 2002, the focus change when Aces’ cousin David Kiphart was murdered.
Ace had a decision to make. He chose to clean up his act. 2 years removed from high school he decided to attend Northern Kentucky University. It was there in solitude he pinned his debut self titled album. Only pressing up a few hundred copies he handed out to friends, classmates and family. With such a great response from the album he teamed up with close friend Nathaniel to record the mixtape Fahrenheit 9/11 in 2005. It met critical acclaim in the area. The buzz was garnered by a diss track titled "Wait Till They Hear Diss." The track showcased Ace lyrical prowess against another local artist. The buzz was so heavy the track was played not only on the urban station, but on the local pop station as well. The success was due a great deal to the perseverance of Nathaniel. He helped get the hottest artist in the city to contribute to the project to show Ace could out spit anyone the city had to offer. Ace finally had a well earned buzz in the city he called home.
Ace and Nathaniel parted ways after complication with 9/11. It drove Ace to work harder to show he could do it on his own.
The buzz began to die down and Ace locked himself in the studio, the result; The Scottie B. Mixtape in 2006. Though it was lyrically and conceptionally a better album it was slept on mostly due to the direction hip-hop was going in.
Now two years removed from his last solo project Ace is back in the studio, gearing up for the release of his third mix tape V for Vendetta.
He is said to be at peace with his music and the state of hip hop as a whole. The title V for Vendetta comes from the movie of the same name which Ace inspired Ace to emerge from his semi nocturnal state. He is determined to spark change for the better in hip hop music. V for vendetta is schedule to drop sometime in May 2008.
