About Me

Howdy, I'm Wyatt. I'm 17 and I live in Salt Lake. I'm what you'd call "up on his luck..." I'm between schools and enjoying every minute of it. Next year I'm going to Dartmouth College (you may not have heard of it but it's an Ivy and it'll kick your Ivy's ass any day...yes, I'm talking to you, Cornellian BITCH.) Not sure what I'll be studying yet...call me a "wild card." Plans for the future? Amass enormous wealth and power. Don't ask me how. Medicine sounds interesting...mostly because I like lab coats, naked people (see background), and watching "House." Make no mistake, I am extremely professional, methodical, and perfectionistic. It's just the off-season and I feel more like being laid back and spineless right now. Anyway, I'll let you get back to what you were doing, Mr. Important.

My Interests

Science, Business, Finance, Medicine, Architecture, and other potential money-makers haha...Politics, Religion, Philosophy, aw fuck it. School stuff you probably find boring. I also like Halo, Sex, and Public Speaking, in case you thought I was boring.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to sleep with Eva Green and then suddenly die in a zeppelin explosion.

Music:

Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Dire Straits, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, Billy Joel, King Crimson, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Shostakovich, etc. (though not necessarily in that order.

Movies:

The Departed, Letters From Iwo Jima, Dr. Strangelove, Snatch, Children of Men, lots of others.

Television:

Arrested Development, House, Rome, Seinfeld, CNN

Books:

If you feel like you've got things figured out spiritually, read Sam Harris' "The End of Faith" and "Letter to a Christian Nation." Unlike my classmates, I do not flee in terror at the mention of Kenzaburo Oe's "Teach Us To Outgrow Our Madness." And right now, I'm reading a couple of books about the late Richard Feynman, and I extend my thanks to a special friend for having introduced me to this character.

Heroes:

Julius Caesar AND his adopted son; Richard Dawkins.

My Blog

My religious experience.

I've recently had a revelation of sorts. You could call it a religious experience. Yes, this is your beloved heretic speaking. Here it is: There is no god but Women and Women are God. There you have i...

DONE! done done done done DONE!

I just sent away the Supplement for Princeton, which means I'm done with college apps once and for all (with the exception of Mid-Years, Financial Aid, and making sure nothing gets lost in the mail, e...

My favorite.

On the application for Princeton, there is a section asking me to indicate my favorite "things." Among these are my favorite book (Foundation), favorite source of inspiration (TJ), and favorite k...

Senioritis

I thought it would never happen to me. But it did. Last year, I heard of the dreaded "senioritis." It's an infection that lies dormant until your immune system is weakened, and then it attacks, sappin...

Whoa.

I just had the most amazing experience with a mirror. I can't even explain it to you. I was just walking into my office, and I caught a glimpse of myself out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look ...

A fact

For most of you out there who know me, even my closest friends, I would like to let you all know that the "me" you think you "know" is actually a very elaborately crafted facade that I have worked on ...

Us and Them

Let's be honest with ourselves. We are at war with Islam. Forget what the President says. This is a clash of civilizations, and the sooner we can recognize that, the sooner we can acheive victory...

Maenvile.

Terrance had always been a brilliant goat. Not just brilliant, but wise. From his youth, great things had been expected of him. And he expected much of himself, as well. And he always delivered. But t...

OH NO!

Six times in July lightning tore a maple tree in the courtyard of the great, gray structure. Six times and once more on the first of August. Erwin's corner office did him no good now. Everyt...
