Let's see... about me? My name is Dwight but most people call me DJ. Do I prefer one or the other? Eh, I'd probably have to say I prefer DJ. Let's see, what else. I am an industrial design major at College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. Almost done actually. It was a kinda scary thought, but oh well, that's life, right? I'm beginning to come to the realization that life is actually about to begin... at least that's the plan. I used to kind of look at it with fear, but the more I think about it, the happier I get. Like they say, life is what you make of it. I plan to make it a good one damnit! lol
Let me see, what else… Oh yea, my friends. My friends are absolutely phenomenal! Chances are you’re already one of them, but maybe you’re a stranger reading this and I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet! But yea, as for my friends, I don’t know where I’d be without them! I wouldn’t dare make an attempt to name you all one by one, because you know someone would accidentally get left out or something and I’d make someone pissed off, lol. So, I will just say that I’m sure a lot of you don’t realize how much you make me laugh, smile and basically just enjoy life. As many of you know, there was quite a while there where I would go from being extremely happy and then sink down into the shit of depression… Now, the low side has just about disappeared. Anytime I get down and out about myself, I just think back to good times with the good people I know and I know that there’s really nothing to worry about. I used to worry about a LOT of pointless shit. Shit I had absolutely NO control over. I mean, I guess to an extent I still do, but I think that’s only human. But I’ve come to accept the fact that there’s just some shit you can’t control and there’s no sense in destroying yourself over it, ya know? The hell with all that petty shit! Go out and have good times with great people! I won’t say the usual “live with no regrets†because I’m pretty sure that’s impossible, lol.
I really love movies. Good movies, bad movies, new movies, old movies… especially old movies, lol. My all time favorite movie is The Goonies! Anything that can make me laugh or cry, I’m THERE. I dunno, maybe it’s the ability to dive into a whole other world for a couple hours without having to get wet, ya know? lol

If I could give some advice to the world, I think it would start with this. Live the way you feel is “right.†No one is perfect. Not to mention the fact that “perfect†is up to the interpretation of whoever is “judging†you. But who says they’re the end-all be-all of opinions? Now I’m not talking about things like say, religious or political differences, because you can argue over that shit til the cows come home. I’m talking about what you see in people. What you see in yourself. If you can see that you’re hurting someone… if you can see that you’re cheating someone for your own bullshit gains, that’s wrong. I feel that everyone has a conscience and I don’t care WHO you are or how you may have been raised, you know good and hell well when you’re being a fucking tool to someone else! So yea, jokes are fine. In fact, I LOVE them. Have fun, even at the expense of others, as long as you can take it yourself. But just don’t walk over people. Don’t treat people like shit. As much as I HATE to say it, I can honestly say that I am guilty of this. But then again, I think everyone is at some point. The key though, is to know when to catch yourself and change it. One of my favorite movie quotes is the following- “Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around. †That shit hit me like a ton of bricks the first time I heard it! By the way, if you know what movie that is from, and you don’t have a penis, chances are you’re high on my list of candidates for women to marry one day, lol.
