NED NIBIRU

About Me

... So just who is Ned Nibiru, anyway?
Contrary to what some may say, Ned Nibiru is not the name of anyone in particular, but rather the unique moniker of a five-piece punk rock outfit from Grand Haven, Michigan. The band started rocking in the fall of 2000, when Tim, Mike, and Dave already having played together for several years in another band asked Jeff to play guitar for an entirely new project. The group asked longtime friend and band mate Jim to join the ensemble in October 2002. Jim only asked that the beer they drink at practice be cold and and in good supply, a condition the guys readily agreed to. They have been gigging regularly around West Michigan ever since, playing as many dates at rock and roll bars, underground clubs, and parties as they can muster.
Ned Nibiru plays punk rock, with an emphasis on rock and roll, although the occasional country lick or irish ditty never hurt anyone as far as Ned is concerned. They released a self-titled CD in September 2003. It is the band's undying hope to play as many shows as promoters will confirm, continue building a fan base in Michigan and beyond, and find at last that holy grail of all beer lovers--the bottomless pint.
