A believer in dreams from birth, knowing that he was destined to be among the stars. As far back as elementary school he’s had visions and insisted that he see them through writing and acting in school plays and performing in local talent shows. With natural instincts and comfort to perform Corey†C-ReL†Jones graced the stage as a rapper for the first time at age (11). Also, very athletic participating in baseball, basketball, and football which he continued throughout his school years. In high school he found a love for the turntables, becoming one of the most requested disc jockeys and party promoters in the St. Louis County area.
While attending Kansas University he was a member of Kansas Jayhawks Aloha Bowl Championship Football team. While attending KU he continued to disc jockey as well as doing radio spots for the college radio station.
After leaving college C-ReL moved to Memphis, TN with his brother Andre “LAJ†Johnson. They hooked up with a local producer Alverdis “Kingpen†McGee and the group “ The Council†was born. “C-ReL has worked with the likes of Gene Griffith founder and former manager of the group “Guy†and Charles “Big Chuck “Stanton A& R for Aftermath Entertainment. C-ReL has also spent time in top-notch studios like Stankonia and Crossover watching some of the most successful writers, producers, and artist in the industry.
