Drowning In September easily brings to mind bands like the Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack, From The Depths of Dreams-era Senses Fail, and I Am Ghost, and even gets me thinking of indie pop-punk favorites of yesteryear, Dreams Forever Drowning.
The garage at 195 Maple Ave. has been witness to the creation of music since the late 1980’s. Within its four walls two generations of musicians have come to follow their dreams, and put aside of the trappings of their everyday lives. The newest addition to this musical legacy is Drowning in September.
Formed in the summer of 2006, the four members of Drowning in September have worked tirelessly to ensure that they will not be added to a long list of bands to see their aspirations begin and end at 195 Maple Ave. Musically Drowning in September’s mixture of various genres, allows the band to never put a limit on their ever growing potential. By integrating elements of pop rock, screamo, hardcore, and emo Drowning in September has created a sound that is relevant with a very diverse crowd of music fans.
With the release of their first e.p. entitled “The Last Show Ever.†(Produced By Doug White) (Gym Class Heroes, Snapcase, Everytime I Die, and Sleepaway.) The band hopes to introduce their music to as many people as possible while never forgetting the bands, and the dreams that came before them. When you are born to play music, you tend not to give up easily. It is safe to say that nobody knows this better than the four members of Drowning in September. Our First Single "Take it Back" Is Now In Heavy Rotation
