Stay Rude Stay Fella!

About Me

The band was born in 2001 by the original members Silvio (bass and vocals), his brother Gabry (keyboards), Paolo (drums), Claudio (guitar). The sound was ska original with a bit of rocksteady and reggae. After few concerts Paolo abandoned the drums and became the guitarist, with Claudio becoming the new lead singer. After that, a lot of drummers have played in the band, until in 2003 Ale Carambola was officially designated as the drummer of Rude Fellows. Before that, in march 2002, Stella (trombone) and Valerio (saxophone) joined the band which was evolving in a more contaminated sound, with every kind of influences (more swing, a little dub, a little rockabilly, little passages in skacore and funk, some jazzy melodies) but without losing the musical personality of the songs. After a lot of concerts, at the end of 2004, Paolo left the band to give birth to his new project, the Cool Sound Machine, and after two months was replaced by the young Lorenzo (better known as "Calimero"), a guitarist with a strong blues background, but also open to different sounds. The saxophonist Valerio at the beginning of 2007 left Italy for the Spain, with the Rude Fellows starting the request for a new sax. After a collaboration with the brazilian alto sax Samuel, the new member of the band is found in Arnaud, a french musician who came from the funky experience of the Big Fuckin’ Family. This is the story, luckily it has no end because we’re still playing and we want to play more and more, everywhere so... stay rude, stay fella!
