RUIN

About Me

RUIN, a four piece band based in Orebro, Sweden, saw the light of day during December 2004 when friends Anders Bertilsson, Daniel Schroder (both also members of Coldworker) and Einar Magnusson decided to start playing fast, catchy and brutal Thrash/Death Metal in a fusion between old school and modern style. A couple of songs and three gigs were made while playing together with two different drummers during a time span of almost a year. The slow progress (due to other obligations the drummers had) became frustrating, and in the very beginning of December 2005 the three founding members teamed up with drummer Tobhias Ljung from The Bereaved and after just two rehearsals RUIN recorded their first demo, which was mixed and mastered by the mastermind Dan Swano.
In December 2006, demo number two was recorded. This time the recording was assisted by Anders Jakobson and Johan Berglund. And once again, Dan Swano handled the mixing/mastering.
