..the universal dream..

About Me

Brian Crowell, an up an coming artist, with his first indie release "Carribean Blue" in 2006. The album just couldn't be categorized, as the sounds & influences are so very wide. It takes you on a journey through pop rock, new age, guitar instrumentals, alternative, jazz, and back again. Chances are one of the songs will strike a chord with you!
"While creating the album, I had a bit of double personality. I had my pop/rock side, where my voice is the primary instrument, and the hard rock side, where the guitar was in the forefront! It probably would've been wiser to just create two albums!"
"Another cool thing that happened during it's creation was my Ibanez 7620 7-string arrival! While it's become a mainstay in heavy metal/hard rock, you don't see it in a POP environment much. People don't realize the album title track, a very pop rock tune, is all seven!" -Brian
The album was entirely recorded in his home studio, engineered, and mastered himself. While it may not have the polished glow of an experienced engineer, it's no slouch! He's certainly had help along the way, from close friends & family, he knows it's because of their support he's made it thus far!
He's been playin music since a young age of 8, beginning with piano. He then took up trumpet, followed by guitar at 15. Now 15+ years later, he's become the epitamy of a one man band, taking on ALL the instrument rolls himself.
Alas, all this is not enough. Brian strives to become an even better guitarist, and all around musician. You'll find him learning from the likes of Paul Warren, Ney Mello, Ron Thal, Mattias IA Eklundh, & Dave Weiner. He can be frequently heard performing his own tunes, and covers from RUSH, to Bumblefoot at at RMA (Raleigh Music Academy).
So whatcha still reading this stuff for! Have a listen!
Brian Plays Ibanez Electric guitars, Ovation acoustics, D'Addario Strings, Digitech FX, and Peavy Amps!
