Choszen is a conscious hip-hop/rap recording artist signed to Sixth Street Music, L.L.C. in Austin, Texas. He is easily listenable and marketable because he uses non-explicit lyrics in his music. Choszen was born in Beaumont, Texas and lived in Germany and New York due to his father's active duty with the U.S. Army. Since 1995, the family has lived in Austin, Texas. Choszen began songwriting during the summer of 2001 after hearing a song written and produced by a high school friend from choir that inspired him to write a verse to the song.Choszen then desired to learn more about the business of the music industry and invested in his future by purchasing "All You Need To Know About The Music Business," by Donald Passman. After reading the book, he decided to become a member and establish a music publishing company with ASCAP. The following year, he began recording at The Music Lab. He had collaborated with Full-Blown, to release the single, "Club Too Crowded" in 2003 and an EP, "Under-Estimated" in 2004. After the release of "Under-Estimated", Choszen decided he would pursue his career as a solo artist and focus on sharpening his songwriting skills and rhyme-delivery. He continued to record and released various underground CDs and mixtapes.In 2007, Choszen was introduced to producer/artist Damar "D Powers" Howard. He and D Powers has since collaborated on several recordings including his first album single, "So Much Paper" released in October of 2007 (along with Crown 'N' Coke).
