About Me

Introduction
So I've decided to put a little blurb about me once again. Some of them have been pretty long. This one might be no exception as well. We'll just have to see how it all turns out. So join me asI take a journey into the depths that makes the person that I am today.
Here's a quick history lesson of Russ
My father was in the Air Force, so we did a little bit of moving around and was the reason whyI was born on Clark AFB, Phillipines. From there, we moved to Vandenberg AFB, CA. Then moved to aa base that no longer exists, which was Chanute AFB, IL. Finally, ended up in the greatest statein the union, Texas. My father retired from the military and got a job at Shepard when I was afreshman in high school. Went to Burkburnett High School for four years, then followed in my dad'sfootsteps for a bit. Joined the Air Force and got stationed at Langley AFB, VA from 1998 to 2002.Did one 90 day tour in Iceland, but pretty much stayed there the rest of the time. From there Icame back home to go to school. Joined the TXANG at Carswell, NAS Jrb in October 2002. By March of2003 I was activated and had the opportunity to see a lot of sand. Got to camp out in manydifferent Middle-Eastern countries for my almost two years while activated. From there I moved to Fort Worth for two years and went to Tarrant County College. Loved it there, but money ran tight so I packed up and moved back in with my parents to finish up at the local university. Midwestern State University, which reminds me of a large high school more so than an actual university, but hey it's a degree. That's pretty much my life history in a nut shell.
My Family
I don't have any kids, nor do I want any right now. Maybe later, but who knows what the futureholds for me. I have 4 brothers (my oldest isn't with us any more R.I.P) and 4 sisters. My motherand father never divorced and been together for 30 something years. I'm the second youngest, soyou could only imagine how old the rest of us are. There is one thing that I hold true to my heart and that is my family. Without their love and support, I don't know where I would be.
My Personality
I don't know really how to describe the type of person I am. Guess you could say I'm shyaround people I don't know at first, but then when the true me comes out, roughly 15 minutes afterknowing you, watch out! You will either instantly love me, or just extremely hate me. I haven'tfound too many people who are in the middle ground when they get to know me. Either deal with mygoofiness, and sometimes rudeness, or don't. I'm still gonna have fun either way. I go out of myway sometimes to be polite, generous, and just out right nice. Some people say almost so much sothat they tell me to stop being a door mat. That's probably my one character flaw at times, butsometimes I think that's the greatest thing about my character. Don't get it confused, I'm onlythat way at first. Hmmm, what else am I willing to divulge. Oh yeah, I'm not a clingy person, nordo I like people to be clingy to me. I try hard not to cling on to one certain person, especiallynow, because you set yourself up for a grave failure when you start to grow too attached tosomeone. The last part about me is when I get a little alcohol in me, there's another flag thatcomes up. I want to be the entertainment. If it works out that way, great, if not, oh well, Istill have my dignity(might not be for long, depending on how much alcohol is in me). That'spretty much it.
Last Parting Note
Read my blog to learn more about me, my thoughts, to see crazy movie clips from time to time, and read funny jokes that I find on the internet. I really don't have any kind of theme for theblog. It is as random as I am.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Friends
I love to meet new people. Those that have ambition in life. Some driving force that compels them to become greater everyday. Whether it be through faith, life experience, or education. I would love to use my profile to inspire, create laughs, and if nothing else just to allow people a window into my world through my blogs.

I think that life is already hard enough. Why not have some people help you through? Whether it be acquaintances you only know through the internet, someone you've only known for a day and found you here, or those you've known your whole life. I would love to meet someone on here that remembers me from the past. Old elementary school friends that moved away because of a PCS(permanent change of station for those of you who have no clue about military terms). Junior High School friends that I lost contact with through the years and maybe even a few old high school friends. Most of those I still know though. Hell I would even go as far as to say some more of my old Air Force acquaintances that I haven't been able to find. But then again I've found most of those on here.

Allow me to be part of your world as I allow you to be part of mine. Take a journey with me through life. The path has potholes that can easily be paved over. Speed bumps that can we can slow down for. Dead ends that a U-turn can always fix. So if you like anything you read send out a friend's request. I'm only human and if you are as well, then let's see how far this journey of life will take us before we part ways.

"If you don't know where you are going, any path will take you there?" Do you know where you are going?

I would like nothing more than to be your tour guide through life. But I can only guide you through the path that I know.
Hypothetically
O.k. So now here goes the list of people I would like to meet if I could, hypothetically of course.

Jesus, Dalai Lama, Mohammed, Ghandi, Albert Einstein, Napoleon, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, Frederick Douglas, Arthur Ash, Michael Jordan, Robert Frost, Jewel, Edgar Allen Poe, Bill Clinton(oh yes good ole Bill), Ronald Reagan, Anne Frank, Winston Churchill, Ron Jeremy, Eddie Murphy, Tony Blair(I love his speeches), Anne Coulter, Jessica Alba(she will always be my #1), Tupac, Christopher Wallace(aka B.I.G), Kurt Colbain, John F. Kennedy, Jenna Jameson, Ben and Jerry(I love your ice cream guys), Tony "The Tiger," Sponge Bob, The Pink Panther, Woody "The Woodpecker," Mickey Mouse, Goofy(me and him are a lot a like), Chris Rock, The Rock, Christopher Reeves(Superman), and many many other people that help inspire a generation. My hats off to all of you, even the cartoon characters. Maybe one day we can all be seated at a table by the right hand of the one almighty.
Quotes to Live By!
Alright so here are a few quotes, or should I say a quite lengthy list of quotes that help inspire me everyday. I might have some really rough times, but as long as a happy place in my mind exists anything is possible. As long as there are quotes like these, I feel like anything can be accomplished.

Michel de Montaigne

"The significance of a man is not in what he attains but in what he longs to attain."

Kahil Gibran

"An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."

Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Education is the power to think clearly, the power to act well in the worlds work, and the power to appreciate life."

"Honest hearts produce honest actions."

"Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies."

"If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it."

Mother Teresa

"Who would not, finding way, break loose from hell, . . . . And boldly venture to whatever place Farthest from pain?"

"The city is not a concrete jungle, it is a human zoo."

"Yet from those flames No light, but rather darkness visible."

If all our misfortunes were laid in one common heap whence everyone must take an equal portion, most people would be contented to take their own. "
