I am here for Friends

About Me

Casey and I love to travel we've done the Mediterranean twice now and are excited about going to England and Ireland on our next European adventure. We attend the Ashland Shakespeare Festival bi-annually and go to local theater and synphonic productions. When we aren't traveling....which is most of the time, I am a slave to my company. Lately working 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day. But I enjoy the little down time I have. Just being at home, 9 times out of 10, one or more of Casey's friends come over or my Sis and brother-in-law. We are the congregation house. I love to dance, but do to knee surgery and currently, killer back pain, I haven't been able to get back into my greatest love. Update 5/07: I took my first dance class and have my first preformance this past semester.....I never realized how much dance was an upper for me. I loved it so much and feel great. My knee sometimes is a litte iffy but most to the time it feels fine. I am taking another couple classes over the summer and then I'm in for 16+ hours of dance per week during the fall. I can't wait!! In our traveling past we've hit up Hawaii and the Carribean recently and Mexico before that. We don't have any big travel plans for this fall because we are going to go see my new neice/nephew in Georgia!! I can't wait.

My Interests

Traveling, Theater and Dance.....obviously from my "About Me". But I also love to cook.....interesting, complicated things. Cooking is an all day project and when it is time to sit down to eat it is well worth the time and effort.

Music:

I'm easy... I like all knids of music. I prefer not to listen to too much rap or Viking Death Metal. Country is tolerable. I love jazz and Ella Fitzgerald is my absolute favorite jazz artist. But I'm always down for some Queen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Floggy Molly. I also enjoy listening to classic 80s and early 90s....brings back memories. And throw in some Spanish Shakira and Selena.

Movies:

Can you say "Princess Bride". Arabian Nights, Merlin, 10th Kingdom, old musicals, dance movies, foreign films, Princess Diaries, Bridget Jones...chick flicks. If I don't cry then it wasn't a good movie.

Television:

So you think you can dance, Top Chef, Heros, Sapranos, Tudors, Rome, Ugly Betty, House, Scrubs and Project Runway are the only shows I have to watch. And I'm always down for some Food Network, CSI or Law & Order! I prefer watching movies no commercials.....of course with TiVo there are no commercials!

Books:

Sword of Truth, Narnia, Harry Potter, Earth Sea, random historical ficition and fantasy. Currently reading The Memiors of Cleopatra......I've been reading it for over a year...I'm almost there. Most recent rocking book that I have read was Lamb by Christopher Moore.....so funny! It was great. I highly recommend it.

Heroes:

My parents mostly. But people who inspire me are Isadora Duncan and Martha Graham....
